Boxing is great for Cardiovascular and Strength based Fitness and for confidence through self defence. But mostly, it’s just a lot of fun.
At The Lyttle Difference we have many clients enjoying the vigorous sweat and stress release of boxing. Every week someone new is amazed at how wrong their preconceived ideas of ‘Boxing’ is. It doesn’t have to be violent and aggressive, it can be relaxing, inspiring, and confidence building.
It can be a great work out activating almost the entire body, improving coordination and rhythm.
Remember the old TV adds that said ‘kids who play sport do better at school’?
Well this is, a fact, but not just for kids. Through coordinating the left and right side of the body with front, back, up and down motions, the left and right hemispheres of the brain learn to communicate together more efficiently. As a result, you are more alert, confident and ….. smarter! This means life becomes easier and more tolerable.
Not only that, but in a world that is getting more and more hectic with less and less healthy outs for tension, boxing can be a great way to release that inner aggression in a controlled and safe manner.
Now there is Boxing for Fun and Fitness, and there is Boxing for self defense. Both are similar but obviously self defense is going to be a lot more strict on technique. At TLD we strongly believe that ‘first we make our habits, then our habits make us’. Therefore we hold you to a high standard of quality in your form whilst keeping it simple enough for you to enjoy. But at the end of the day, this is to protect you from injury and keep you fit and having fun with your health and fitness.
